Job Description:
As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and Processing Shipments: Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and verify the accuracy of deliveries. Process and document incoming merchandise according to company procedures.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory storage areas. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits as required.
- Order Picking and Packing: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment accurately and efficiently. Ensure that all items are properly labeled and packaged to prevent damage during transportation.
- Shipping and Receiving: Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery using appropriate shipping methods and carriers. Generate shipping labels, documentation, and invoices as needed. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from safety hazards. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe and responsible manner. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required, training can be provided).
